Our Story
Joinery and Steel was started with a simple goal in mind: to create and share unique products made with materials and processes that tell a story. The journey began with my grandfather, who served as a mentor to me. He was a true craftsman whose career centered around drafting, sheet metal, and glass work, with woodworking as a hobby for both him and me as his sidekick.
From a Simpler Way to Present Day
Behind each project are the tools and teachings dating back to when wood was cut with hand saws, and rulers had to be unfolded to measure a project. Not to say we don't use lasers and robots today (we do) but we keep it small format and simple to create one of a kind products and projects.
Our Projects
Whether it's a kitchen designed to take you back to the 1920's, an end table, bookcase, coffee bar made with reclaimed barn wood, or a cutting board, no two projects have been alike. What will be built next? Keep an eye on our website or social media for updates.
